If kissing in open is okay. What about Shitting ?
There will always be controversies around both: kissing and shitting. And depending on the social background etc. people will have wildly varying opinions about each. For some it may feel what is even the need to write something about kissing in open and for some it might be something they would disgust.
This isn’t much about kissing your partner in open, it’s more on shitting.
Note: some of the things that I write are for purpose of sarcasm.
The three words highlighted there: shitting, open, kissing
are the things we are going to think of here. And their relevance in article in same order as mentioned. If you are thinking we are going to give a decision about what is good or bad. No, it is not that. These are some thoughts that came up my mind in that frame of reference and would like to know what you may think about the same.
Before that, meet my good friend Mr. Bottle.

Not close to us, but many meters away from me and my friend, were some more people doing the same. You won’t see anyone in the our picture obviously cos I don’t capture people without their permission especially in that situation.
Getting back to the point. Some people were enjoying nearby but in a different position/ situation / some other word.
If you guessed it already, yes people shitting while enjoying sunrise. For a moment I was too carried away by the nature that I thought of enjoying shitting under nature admiring it. But since I’ve never done that and never thought of it even remotely, I couldn’t muster the courage to do what others were doing so easily. Poor sophisticated people don’t get this luxury.
Shit in open. Good or bad?
Now that is one big question. Big how? Its just shit.
Yes actually I think. It can save or degrade our environment :-P .
Actually before I say something else, I am concerned about how to phrase the title. There can be many way to do that:
If kissing in open is okay. What about Shitting in public?
A slight change of word from open to public I think makes a lot of difference. What I experienced was both open and public shitting. Actually me and my friend(Mr. Bottle if you forgot) didn’t bother much about people shitting around. Mostly cos they were somewhat far from us and that too sporadically scattered. I still feel that not everyone likes to do that in open/public.
So we didn’t mind much, but I think if I would have been with a female friend, my thoughts might have been very different, the entire written in a different manner.. accusing people for shitting in open.
Though there were two things bothering us:
- A bit of offensive smell occasionally messing up the nice sea breeze.
- The fear of stepping into someone’s shit while going back.
Actually, the thing which never left my mind was stepping into someone’s fresh shit. What iffff ? Luckily we never got into someone else’s shit.
Or maybe the people were smart enough to judge the perfect distance where nature would naturally clean up the mess; which I feel nature has been doing since ages. For us and all our fellow creatures. Such a kind job nature does.
I later found there’s is a term for this: Open defecation. Take a look yourself.
The Pros and Cons of Open SHITTING
Somehow, right now my mind can see just pros and not much of cons. The first one being environment friendliness. No need to flush, thus saves water. No need of soaps and chemicals cleaners and other non-biodegradable stuff that gets flushed into the water and lands up in waterbodies.
If some people have some concerns like okkk…. shitting directly in sea how would it affect nature, BOD etc. Actually I think there won’t me much affect, since anyways no one’s gonna drink sea water. But what about our friends living in the water? Well is there any way to reduce the BOD for what we shit out? We can give it a thought later (Yes there is 😝. Our shit can be more environment friendly).
Some cons. What if it rains? What if they don’t live near a seashore?
This will give them an opportunity to innovate(That’s a joke if someone took it seriously).
The offending smell. People now get to even judge you the basis of your shit.
The thought of people judging on basis of shit 🤔. LOL. What kind of world would that be.
Such a world would have serial shitters 😂 (people killing open shitters or anything else).
Coming back to the point. We can focus on the impact of open shitting on society, health and hygiene. Our main focus here should have been society as we are comparing this to kissing. Places where such kissing in public is not a common thing. If you have come till this point reading all the non-sense, probably put your thought in comments.
Public Toilets
This just randomly came up my mind when thinking about pros and cons.
Where were the public toilets?
I saw one. Clean? Yes looked very clean from outside, maybe people feel claustrophobic in toilets 🥴. Maybe only men get the privilege of enjoying early morning shitting in public and the toilets are reserved for those who don’t get the luxury of doing that.
Recently in India there have been many concerns on such issues and some steps have been taken by government also in this regards. Bollywood fans from India will definitely be able to recall which movie I’m talking about.
If some people have some concerns over shitting directly into the sea… how would it affect nature. Actually I don’t think much, anyways, no one’s gonna drink it.
